VersaCoat is a hydrophilic, bioresorbable layer intended to protect device surfaces from unwanted soft tissue attachments. VersaCoat applies the Versa technology to collagen-based, tissue-based, or polymeric surfaces. VersaCoat can be added to one, two, or all sides of a device using Alafair's patented processing. VersaCoat is designed to adhere to the device surface during implantation and fixation procedures, and then VersaCoat will subsequently be resorbed following critical healing. VersaCoat does not require any additional sutures or tissue glue. VersaCoat is translucent, maximizing visualization of device placement.
