President & CEO, Co-Founder

Mr. Joyoprayitno has over 20 years of management and entrepreneurial experience founding, launching, growing, and managing companies ranging from medical, distribution, automotive, to consulting (medical, utility, technology, recreation).

Mr. Joyoprayitno earned an MS in Technology Commercialization from the McCombs School of Business and a BA in Anthropology, both at UT-Austin.

Chief Scientific Officer & Co-Founder

Dr. Mayes is co-inventor of the Alafair technology, has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, and holds several patents in the material science field. Dr. Mayes currently oversees Clinical, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Product Development, Marketing, and Manufacturing. She has over 20 years experience in manufacturing and materials engineering. Prior to Alafair, she was responsible for various research, technical, and manufacturing activities at Ford Motor Company primarily in sustainable technologies such as fuel cell development.

Dr. Mayes earned a PhD in biomedical engineering from UT-Austin, an MS in materials science and engineering from University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, and a BS in chemical engineering from UT-Austin.

Chief Regulatory Officer

Dr. Walthall brings over 30 years of varied experience in new technology and product development. He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed articles and holds several patents in the biomedical field.

Prior to joining Alafair, Dr. Walthall served as VP of R&D for Zimmer Biologics where he was responsible for directing biologic and drug delivery R&D in areas such as bone healing, spinal disc regeneration, restoration of soft tissue function, and cartilage repair. He has previously held senior positions in a variety of medical device companies managing technology strategies, portfolio management, and PD.

Dr. Walthall earned a PhD in biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin.

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Holay has worked in the medical device industry for over 15 years and has served in leadership positions managing both business and technical areas of organizations. He currently oversees finance, accounting, compliance, sales administration, and customer service at Alafair. Prior to Alafair, he was involved in product development and commercialization activities at Zimmer, Inc.

Mr. Holay earned an MBA from The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and an MS in Chemical Engineering from Syracuse University.

VP, Sales

Mr. Knue has over 25 years of experience in medical sales and marketing. He specializes in selling, leading high-performance teams, and bringing new technologies to market.
